I help people, not corporations.
Welcome to the Law Offices of Jonathan G. Stein. I call my practice “consumer law.” People ask me all the time what that means. To me, consumer law means that I help people, not corporations.
I handle all types of litigation. Specifically, I handle litigation involving personal injury and insurance cases, including car crashes, property damage matters and disputes regarding insurance claims and coverage. I also handle debt collection cases. In those cases, I represent consumers who have been contacted by debt collectors or sued by debt collectors. I also resolve issues with credit reports and contract cases. In addition, I consult with individuals on matters of business set up, financing, debt collection, contracts, insurance/risk management, closing and all other legal matters. In the last several years, I have added estate planning to my practice. This means I help people write wills, trusts, power of attorney forms, and handle probate issues.
Throughout my professional career, I have noticed that problems arise from a breakdown in communication. This is not just in the legal field, but everywhere in life. In the legal profession, it is important for the attorney and the client to communicate. Too often, secretaries and paralegals handle the client’s issue, and the client has little, if any, contact with the attorney. That is why, when you call my office, you deal directly with me. There is no secretary to answer the phone. There is no paralegal updating you. Clients can reach me in more traditional ways like letters or phone calls. But, I am also accessible by email, text message and even Skype.
I handle your case from start to finish. Unlike some attorneys, I litigate my own cases. Working with top investigators, including investigators experienced in civil and criminal litigation, I aggressively investigate your case and make sure that your rights are properly protected and your interests are represented.
