Suppose you are rear ended and your car is in the shop for 30 days or more. Will the Insurance Company of the responsible party reimburse me for the payments on the vehicle while it is in the shop?
Nope. Sorry. The insurance company will pay you for a rental vehicle. They may pay you for loss of use. But, they will not make your car payment while the vehicle is in the shop.
Why? Simple. This expense would have occurred whether the accident happened or not. The rental expense or loss of use happens only because of the accident. But, the monthly payment ocurrs regardless of the accident. So, you cannot recover that expense.
