There is a new scam running around where someone calls you pretending to be from the IRS. Let me say this again: YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR NOT PAYING A DEBT. Also, the IRS will write to you and will not call you leaving you a threatening message. One example of the message:
Research center of the Internal Revenue Service is the reason behind this call is to let you know that we have received some legal petition complaint(?) against your name concerning an illegal tax evasion attacks from work. So we are about to issue a warrant for your arrest. We’re about to take this matter to the Federal claims court house before we go ahead and do that. If you need any relevant information concerning this case. You can call us back on our call back number and you can talk to a legal representative. The number to reach us is area code 571-281-8702. I repeat 571-281-8702. Again this is officer James anderson(?) from the Internal Revenue Service as you have a good day. Thank you.
The IRS is not calling people. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, do NOT talk to them. Get their information, do your due diligence, and then, if you are 100000% sure its the IRS (and I used 100000% for a reason), then call them back. A real agent from the IRS will not have a problem with this.
